Book in Common for 2015-16 Announced

CSU Chico and Butte College are pleased to announce the Book in Common selection for academic year 2015-16: "Just Mercy," by Bryan Stevenson.

"Just Mercy" is a powerful and compelling account of Bryan Stevenson's Equal Justice Initiative, a nonprofit organization that provides legal aid to Death Row prisoners. While Stevenson's work is centered in Alabama, the issues raised by "Just Mercy" are relevant to California and across the nation.

"Just Mercy" was the unanimous selection of the Book in Common Reading Group comprised of faculty and staff from Chico State and Butte College, as well as community members. This selection has been endorsed by the presidents of CSU, Chico and Butte College.
